Lift Station Air Mixing
Fats, oils and grease (FOG) or Fatbergs are one of the biggest problems at lift stations. They float to the top of the wet well, harden into thick mats, and trap solids that settle on the floor. Over time, this buildup disrupts level sensor operation, clogs pumps, creates foul odors, and leads to costly emergency call-outs and vacuum truck cleanings.
Why Wet Well Mixing Works
Air mixing is a simple, effective fix. A 1 HP regenerative blower pushes filtered oil-free air through a stainless steel drop pipe and into the basin. As the bubbles rise, they agitate the liquid in the wet well and keep FOG and solids in suspension. Pumps then carry the material out with every cycle, so nothing has the chance to harden or settle.
Built for Easy Retrofit
You don’t need to rebuild your station to get these results. Our wet well air mixing system is a low-maintenance retrofit that:
- Mounts on your existing slab
- Needs only one ss pipe through the wet well hatch
- Uses an oil-free blower that won’t add contaminants to the wastewater
- Installs quickly with minimal disruption to your operation
What You Can Expect
By keeping the contents of your wet well in motion, you can:
- Reduce unplanned service calls
- Cut back on odors that lead to complaints
- Lower the frequency of vacuum truck cleanings
- Save on maintenance and emergency labor costs
